It’s weekend! I hope you had a nice week! I won tickets for a musical, celebrated Valentine’s day and went out for dinner. In this post, I’ll also give a short update on the resolutions that I made at the beginning of this year.
I won tickets for the musical Blood Brothers, so I went to see it with my sister. It was in the Royal Theater Carré in Amsterdam. It was very last minute, but when it’s free..! The musical was nice, not the best I’ve seen, but the story was funny. You have to see it if you like Jim Bakkum, of course ;). You’re not allowed to take photos until the end, so I only took these few.
I received these beautiful roses on Valentine’s day from my boyfriend. They are a beautiful peach colour, my favourite!
I went out for dinner at restaurant Logisch in The Hague. I’m still eating healthy, so choosing a restaurant with a nice and healthy menu can be difficult sometimes. Logisch is a biological restaurant. I had gratinated mushrooms with bruschetta as starter and a salad with caramelized pears, bacon, nuts and goat cheese as main dish. It was delicious! I didn’t get a dessert, because I’m still doing my sugar free month, but I had a nice jasmin tea instead.
To give a short update on my resolutions for 2015:
1. Photography: Get my foot into modeling agencies as photographer.
I haven’t had time for this. I’m thinking about my portfolio, though, and which photos I will choose to put in a book. I will keep postponing doing this probably, because I have enough other things to do for now.
2. Finance & Health: Spend less money on food.
This has helped me to think twice before buying snacks. It also helps to do a sugar free month. I’m eating healthy again, but this costs me more money actually, because I have to do my own groceries.
3. Fashion & Finance: Buy 5 pieces per season max.
Uhm.. yes, this went well, until it was sale everywhere. Enough said.
4. Health: Do Kayla Itsines’ Bikini Body Guide
Finally a resolution that’s going well. I started doing this after my internship, so this week was week 3 for me and it feels good. The workouts are tough and challenging. I like to combine the LISS training and resistance training on one day, so I always go running for half an hour and continue with Kayla’s workouts. This way, I only have to be in the gym 2 or 3 times a week and I can rest the rest of the days. I started to see results very quickly, probably also because I’m eating healthy and sugar free as much as possible.
5. Random(??): Learn Swedish, hahah.
This is also going well. I use the app Duolingo and it works very good. I know a few simple sentences and basic words. The only thing I miss in the app is an overview of the list of words and grammar rules after each lesson. A list of words is practical if I want to look back, but don’t want to repeat the whole lesson. The grammar rules would be helpful instead of trying to figure out the logic myself. Maybe I’ll start watching movies with Swedish subtitles or children’s videos on Youtube. What do you think is the most effective way to learn a new language on your own?
That’s it for this week! Monday, a new shoot will be online. Have a nice weekend!
