On our last day in Lisbon, we went to see the things that we didn’t get to see on day 2 due to the incident in the tram. We also checked off the rest of our to do/eat/see list.
We spent the morning at the São Jorge Castle which is built on a hill not far from the center of Lisbon. The view from the castle on Lisbon was very nice, but a little less impressive after being on the castle in Sintra..
I love the typical balconies and facades of Lisbon!
We had a very filling lunch at the cute 28 Café. Its interior is as if your sitting inside a tram!
I was waiting for this the whole week. The Alfama district!! The streets there are narrow and the houses so colourful, very charming!
This restaurant, Pharmacia, is so cool! The interior is like an old pharmacy: they have cabinets with medicine along the walls, cocktails named after medicine and they serve water from a special bottle as well.
The concept for the food is shared dining, so we ordered 5 dishes to share: codfish, razor clam rice, scallops, an asparagus salad and a sandwich. The food was really good and it’s definitely a nice experience!
So after the disappointment of the previous day‘s sunset, we went to Belém to see it. We sat at the shore and enjoyed the quiet time there until the sun was down.
After the sunset we went to Pastéis de Belém to eat custard tarts for one last time and to bring a few boxes with us to the Netherlands.
And.. of course we HAD to go to Santini for one last time as well. The ice cream is REALLY good there. I had the flavours milk caramel and strawberry with white chocolate. Deliciousss!
So this is the end of our trip to Lisbon. I hope you liked following us these days, I had fun taking photos and writing these posts anyhow :).
