Good morning…. from Lisbon!! It’s the end of the summer and things have finally calmed down with (almost) all the weddings and a camp etc. finished. It’s the perfect time for a holiday!
I’m sitting at our breakfast table in our loft while writing this, so you’re going to get many updates while we’re here.
We’re staying for one week which should be enough to see everything we want. We made a planning to fit in all the things we want to see, eat and do while we’re here. We decide what to do depending on the weather and how tired our legs are (the stairs here are crazy!!).
The weather is really good, between 24-30°C degrees during the day.
We’re staying in a beautiful historical loft we rented via Airbnb. It’s really close to the city center. We got a very warm welcome from our host and he even baked a cake for us!
The loft is very spacious. Living, eating and washing is on the ground floor. Sleeping is upstairs, but the two floors are connected with an open space, so it’s actually one big space.
Picking beds with rock, paper, scissors, hahah!
After dropping our bags in the loft, we went on a quick tour through the city center with our host. He told us where to go and where to eat these days. This is the view from the famous elevator in Lisbon, the Santa Justa lift.
The food of day 1.. Hmm, disappointing. We had different sorts of meat and fish.
After dinner we walked around some more. Inside a shopping mall we found these candle cubes with pictures of typical Lisbon on the side. Very classy ☺.
End of day 1.. This view from the elevator on the streets of Lisbon is so pretty by night!
We’re planning to go to the São Jorge Castle, Sintra, Belém and Cascais this week. Any tips for us on what to eat or see while we’re here?
